Residence Les Portes des Cevennes (2015)

2015 too, France was our holiday destination. This year we have chosen the Cevennes in the region Languedoc/Roussillon . Our resort was Sauve in the departement Gard. We had booked a cheap holiday home in a holiday resorton the outskirts of the village of Sauve via Interchalet .

On the internet we had read some negative reviews about the facility, after we had booked. So we were curious to see what awaited us there. To make a long story short we were pleasantly surprised. The tourist resorts(in France they are called Residence) are similar everywhere. A number of holiday homes is grouped around the reception (Accueil), gym, tennis court, indoor and outdoor swimming pool behind it. Even there is a laundry. The staff was very friendly,they spoke except French (of course) but also some English and also of course, no German.

We lived in house no.24 on the main road (slight disadvantage) , after a small hill has ascended, with a beautiful covered terrace . On the ground floor we had a well equipped kitchen(even with dishwasher ),a bathroom with toilet and upstairs 2 bedrooms with a little more space than last year.

It's nice to have some cooling.

It was pleasant in the holiday village that it was in a natural surrounding. Large shade trees (sessile oaks) were distributed throughout the grounds. In the center was even a small wood.
